Dug down to the ground about 400 vertical feet below Ghoulie's Point. SW facing and 26 degrees {measured}. The ice layer was down 75"/250cm. It was a full inch thick. The top 18" was loose and my knife blade fell through it of its own accord. Below 18" I had to assist the blade and the snow was uniform all the way to the ice layer. The column did not collapse or propagate even swinging from the shoulder. When I left I ski stomped it and it still did not collapse. No snow falling out of the trees. No cracking or whumping though I never ventured to steeper terrain. Skiing was great.
