Dug one pit, essentially due south aspect around 6000', depth 100 cm, ECTN at 25, 45. The september snow is about 90 cm down mixed with vegetation and not reactive. The 45 cm layer did shear fairly cleanly with shovel/hand but was non reactive in both CT and ECT.
Was windy all day but there was minimal snow transport and no slab formation during our time out.
