Snowpit Observations
More detailed information about the snowpack:

We dug two pits, one on a south aspect and the other on an easterly aspect.  The south facing pit was dug at 6400 ft and we were able to get propagation with moderate force (ECTP 15 @ 45 cm down).   This failure was at the rain crust from a week ago.

The other pit was dug at the same elevation and with test results of ECTP16 @ 30 cm down.  This failure occured below the rain crust on a layer of mixed facets and beat up buried surface hoar.

We did see roller ball activity lower in elevation, but none in the higher up.
