More detailed information about the snowpack: 

We traveled up to 6,300 ft. Recent storm totals were about 15-18".  The new snow was wet and produced large rollerballs below about 6,000 feet on moderate angled slopes.  The storm snow is settling and ski pen decreased to about 5-10", compared to knee deep yesterday in the Middle Fork.  We could see several large wet loose avalanches in the distance; not sure if they ran yesterday or today.

Brief periods of solar on lower elevations; the peaks remained shrouded in clouds all day.  Precip began around 5:00 pm as rain at the trailhead.
