We toured off of WMR into the surrounding backcountry. No obvious signs of instability were observed.
ECT on both S and NNE aspects showed no propagation on the early February warm period crust. ECTN30 was observed on both S and NNE aspects. An additional ECTX was observed on the NNE aspect. Isolated pockets of cohesive snow were observed around fresh ski tracks, but no widespread evidence of slab formation was observed.
New, soft, uncohesive snow made for good riding conditions on all aspects.
