Quick Observation
Hope you've been enjoying the second coming of winter.
Observed D1.5 Windslab on an E aspect. Formed by crossloading from recent N winds. Crown appeared to average 1.5' and was ~80' wide. This ran some time between 4/12 and 4/13.
Snow from Saturday's storm has settled to 4-8 inches in protected areas and has been redistributed by wind in exposed terrain. Some ridges were stripped to the 4/11 crust while windloaded slopes harbored over a foot of drifted snow.
Winds were moderate and gusting to strong out of the North causing light to moderate blowing snow.
Easterly aspects were pretty cooked by the time I descended (~1pm).
Did not observe any loose wet activity.
4/11 crust had gained strength below 6000' and was mostly supportable. Wet grains were still present beneath.
