Wind Slabs and Sluffing and Buried Surface Hoar (Oh My)

Older generations of wind slab from earlier this week (north and east aspects) were 1F hard and unreactive. Older wind slabs from strong northerly winds over the weekend were mostly 1F hard and unreactive. The most recent winds slabs on southerly slopes were 4F to F+ hard, and were reactive in isolated areas and stubborn elsewhere. These most recent slabs were mostly about 3" thick on top of the older 1F wind slabs, but where they were still reactive they failed on top of F hard facets above the 2/2 MFCr. We found that Groundhog crust up to about 6300'. @6680' N aspect: HS = 230cm, ECTP E x2 down 30cm on the 1/17 SH no other results here at any interface. No direct feedback from this layer. Maybe somewhere where the snowpack is already stressed - steep convexity, unsupported slope, etc. The snowpack is faceting like crazy above the 2/2 crust with the cold temps.
