Weekend warming introduced a widespread wet loose cycle along the GTSR, with many slides reaching the road. Most activity was confined to the new/old interface, however several upper-elevation paths produced wet slab avalanches. These avalanches were also primarily new snow, but several gouged into deeper, older layers of the snowpack. As temperatures warm and peak on Thursday, more paths will likely shed in this manner, and continue shedding deeper layers of the snowpack. Avalanches ranged in size from D1-D2, some traveling to the bottom of paths.
