At approximately 3pm on a sunny, warm afternoon, we observed the aftermath of a size 1-2 size avalanche that occurred over the road that goes to the YurtSki Yurt/Mount Morrell Lookout. We could not see a crown from the road, but the slide seemed to have started above a rollover over the road (there was a large, dead tree which may have been the break point). The slide was difficult to describe/classify, but was most likely a wet, loose slide that occured within the most recent storm snow. On average, the slope was not particularly steep/sustained (perhaps just above 30 degrees) though the overhead rollover was steeper than average. There was no evidence of a human trigger.
The slide was observed just below one of the sweeping corners on the Morrell Lookout Road (corners which often are bare due to wind scouring and aspect). We were descending the road by snowmobile when we encountered evidence of the slide (had occured at least a few hours prior, but probably not the previous day).
