Crown visible just below cornice on E Face of Nyack Mtn above Cascadilla Creek. Crown thickness varied from 1 to maybe 3 feet. Debris running downslope triggered slabs on flanks with criowns ~2 feet and D1.5-2 in themselves. Possibly failed on 3/24 persistent weak layer (all crowns above ~5800'). Crown crisp, so likely failed at end of wind-loading event 4/7.
Sluffs of dense wet snow that released from ski turns on steep slopes, along with tire-sized rollerballs that left gouges 2+ feet deep in the snowpack. Most of the rollerballs didn't coalsece into wet loose slides except on SE slopes.
Lots of rollerballs and debris below NW-facing slopes just above valley bottom. Looked to have run yesterday. Still frozen midday today.
Debris piles in/below most SE facing gullies above Cascadilla Creek. Ran to upper track. Shallow - mostly rollerballs - but wide piles.
2 slides that broke just below the ridgeline on the E face of Nycak Mountain, directly below pt 7715 and the saddle to the SE. Couldn't see full extent of debris. ENE aspects. Looked fresh, though 1 below pt 7715 seemed to have blown in slightly. Likely occurred during strong westerly winds 4/7. Possibly triggered by cornice fall, though no breaks in cornice were obvious.
