Troubles ahead on Mt. Brown?

Took advantage of clearing skies to look for recent avalanche activity and signs of problems but found a relatively quiet snowpack on Mt. Brown with concerns for future loading.

• The top 2-3" was sluffing easily under skis or running naturally out of very steep, sunlit slopes.  These slides were shallow and harmless unless you were in extreme terrain. 
• Minor wind affects near ridgeline, no recent slab avalanche observed in adjacent peaks, and no signs of wind slab instabilities. 
• The third skier on a slope triggered a widely propagating collapse (>200 yards) on a south aspect at mid-elevations.  This appeared to be the recent Groundhog Day crust collapsing on faceted snow below.  This seemed to be benign collapse with only 3-4" of low-density snow above it (no slab), but a valuable warning sign for troubles ahead if we build a slab over this crust.
