New snow depth of 2.5 feet. Total snow pack of 6 feet. Weak layers of faceted snow observed starting at 3.5 feet and reoccurring in 4 to 6 inch layers throughout the snow column. In wind loaded areas the snow pack is very unstable. Any pressure creates woofing noises and shooting cracks. These slabs are now covered by a couple feet of new snow. Snotel sites appear to be inaccurate on new snow fall.
