-Collapsing snow was found on just about every step on the early morning skin out to the test site. Shooting cracks were observed periodically on steep convex terrain.
-Lots of wet snow in the top quarter of the snowpack. Boot pen of 30 cm, made moving around a challenge. T-20 was an impressive -0.5 degrees. Seems like winters got up and go, must've got up and went.
-Test Results: CT 14 PC/Q2 at 275cm. CT 11 PC/Q2 at 262cm. ECTN 11 at 262cm. PST 58/100 (ARR) down 103cm on 20220228.
New avalanche occurred between 11 and 1 pm. Most likely when the sun was hitting the slope around mid-day.
WL failed earlier in the week along steep southerly facing aspects at the top of many of the chutes on skook.
