Quick Observation

Toured to 6800 in the JFS canyon and enjoyed a semi supportable crust through mid elevations in the morning transitioning to bottomless mush by mid afternoon with rollerballs in force.  Above 6000 ft our melt freezecrust was capped by 2-8 inches of snow on E-SE slopes. No collapses but noticed faceting the more east we moved. Afternoon sun was warming upper elevation snow within minutes between squalls.
