Went for a nice tour up Stanton today. The inversion was very noticeable and temps were very warm in the mid-elevations. Even saw some minor loose wet sluffs in the southern drainages.
The wind impacted the snow surface above 6500' and resulted in variable ski conditions and isolated wind-loaded features.
Dug a quick pit at 7400' on a WSW aspect. Height of snow was 110cm. There were 2 noticeable layers of facets (20 cms down and 60 cms down). Neither produced propagating results in an ECT, but got an ECTN20-30 on both layers.
Snow is thin and faceted on the ridge and the summit area.
