went for a walk on the south side of the canyon just outside of the resort. The snow in the north-facing, sheltered terrain was dense and wet up high, and heavier still as we descended to the canyon floor. I stomped on and ski cut several small test slopes with no instability noted. Snow just seemed too heavy to move, and without evidence of it slabbing up as it was warming. The skiing was great, unless you needed to make a turn. No whoomphing noted or avalanches spotted, with pretty good vis.
