Above 5,000 feet the new snow is already faceting on south and southwest aspects, including on top of the most recent crust where it is present. Wind slabs were found on south and easterly aspects above 6,500 feet which produced shooting cracks and small slabs to break off (some stubborn enough to require jumping). Still a lot of walking up and down with minimal skiing.
