Remotely triggered avalanche on Running Rabbit

As a party of 3 we traveled up the Snowslip Drainage. It was quite calm and warm at the parking lot, but that changed as we approached the SW Face of Snowslip.

• 5 fresh inches of low density snow was found on top of a thin crust on SW aspect up to 6500 ft.
• We observed cracking within the new snow during kick turns gaining the upper portion of Snowslip mountain
• We noticed sluffing with in the new snow on turns down the SW face.
• The winds were blowing from the SW in upper elevations and were blasting the upper SW face. 
• We enjoyed sheltered powder on S facing slopes.
• On the ridgeline up to Running Rabbit we remotely triggered a large avalanche from 200 yards away. We did not notice the avalance until skiing lower down the East face of Running Rabbit, but felt and heard a settlement approaching the summit and the avalanche broke lower on the slope. It was about 200 feet wide, 4+ feet deep and ran 200 feet, but had nowhere to run due to the benchy terrain features here.
• Expect rising avalache danger on all aspect with the new snow forcasted.
