Quiet near Noisy

Day off tour, taking advantage of good stability to explore new terrain accessed from Noisy Basin.

• Another 1" or so overnight. Very light snowfall and calm winds through the day.
• We skied steep, open terrain up to 45° on various aspects at mid and upper elevations without any signs of instability or identifiable avalanche problems (based on quick pits and surface obs).
• The 3"-4" of storm snow is settling and bonding better to the old interfaces than yesterday. Sluffing was less reactive today.
