Had a nice tour in the park up to 7000 ft before the storm. Looked like 2-4in. in the last 24hrs. Interesting snow totals about 3-4 new after the tour in west glacier but only 0.5-1 at lake mcdonald and on our skintrack. Skied less than 35° degree slopes with no cracking or whumphs.
Noted relatively shallow snowpack on S slopes with faceting at the bottom at low to mid elevations.
At higher elevations new snow fell into previously documented hard wind slabs which made a good running surface for sluff but our slope angles didnt allow for anything much.
A couple brief glimpses through the clouds did not reveal any crowns but not the best visibility.
