Broken skies today kept the temperatures and snow surface cool throughout the day. We dug a quick pit at ~6250' on a NW aspect and found a deep, cohesive snowpack. Our ECT yielded multiple non-propagating results under moderate force in the upper 50cm of snow. The most recent rain crust is buried ~50cm deep at this location, but its depth was rather variable throughout our tour, largely due to wind-redistribution. Below 4000' the snow was sloppy and moist. No new avalanches observed today, but we expected loose/wet activity to start up with the clearing/warming this afternoon.
