Just an observation from the East side this morning. Choteau Mountain, which is on eastern most Front -North side of Teton Canyon Rd. has had 2 naturals in 2 days. Crowns were visible from a couple miles out. I suspect the 3-6 inches of new snow on Monday/Tuesday was loading up pretty good up high. We have been getting westerly winds. Choteau Mountain is East facing. The naturals look like they may have ran between 8,000 and 6,500'. Slopes up there are steep (35-40)
Note: FAC is considering these large slides as evidence of the lingering Deep Slab avalanche problem, given the height and length of the crowns and the history of the snowpack in this area this season.
