Took the sleds up to Kimmerly in the morning and toured up to the ridge where we found 6 plus inches of new snow. Fog down low but the sun was out and quite warm at higher elevations. Once we were on the ridge and touring just below the wind whales we got a 30 foot shooting crack that was as deep as the storm slab. My partner took a mellow line next to the trees on a planar slope and saw no reactivity. I dropped in on a mellow bench connected to the same planar slope but was above a steeper rollover. As I skied the bench towards the planar slope I saw a shooting crack that shot down towards the steep rollover. I stopped and watched the rollover (out of sight) and saw the snow break and run below it. I continued to ski back to the planar run and spooned my parnters turns out of there with no other reactivity.
