I'd like to speak to the manager

We broke trail all the way uphill from 5000' to 6650' and were rewarded with freezing rain crust skiing!  I demand a full refund of my day ticket.  In all fairness, Blase's report from yesterday in the vicinity should have warned us.  

• Visibility improved to unlimited throughout our tour, 11 am- 4 pm.  Did not see any natural or human triggered slides (besides mini mentioned below) on either side of the Swan crest.  
• Persistent slab: many handshears (mostly SE and NW) throughout the day revealed largely resistant slabs above the 1/31 or 1/1 interface.  One notable exception was on a S aspect at 6000', just below a ridge and above a convexity, where I dug further to find ECTP9 down 22cm on NSF.  I did not observe buried SH there.  We gave southern convexities a wide berth after that result.  Overlying slab under 1/4 IFrc, without wind effect, is F hardness.  
• Wind slab: did not trigger on small test slope on NW side of ridge with cornice kick.  Triggered a very small one on E aspect just lee side of crest, 5' wide, ran 5' with a crown of 6 inches.   Nearby, on E 6650', I found ECTN5 down 10 cm just below the 2/4 freezing rain crust, ECTP14 down 40 cm on large and intact surface hoar (infamous grey stripe in photo). 
• The rain crust extended at least to 6650'.  Interestingly, it was consistently a few mm thick and solid on E side (at least down to 6300' when we bailed), but softer, uneven, and much less offensive on W side.  
• Winds stayed Light out of the SW, overcast all afternoon.  Trace of graupel flurries.
