We did a half day tour to hellroaring peak for the final day of avy 2 course. Thank you to all the instructors! We wanted to find a more shallow snowpack to dig in to see if layers reacted differently from other areas we had investigated. We dug on a south aspect about 6700' HS=185cm. We dug to the ground to see the whole season. we preformed an ECT and 2 PST's ECTX and the first PST was on a thick layer of facets near the ground 80/150 (end) the second PST was on the layer of facets above the 1/13 crust, which is buried 75 cm down. PST 150/150. We continued up the the peak and enjoyed low angle pow in the white room.
