Avalanche Location:
With a monocular, I was able to pick out one, small D1 loose wet avalanche on the southwest slopes of Mt Stanton. These slopes had many rollerballs as well but no other avalanche activity. I am guessing that this avalanche occurred sometime yesterday afternoon or last night. Low-elevations did not freeze last night. Snow structure I observed at low-elevations today had moistened grains all the way to the ground. I was surprised not to see to more wet loose activity today, perhaps the lack of direct sun this morning slowed down the wet loose machine.
