Good day for a ridge walk

Today we went into the Flathead Range near Marias Pass to crunch our way up to a crown and see if the rain crust does in fact stop in this area.

• We found the rain crust up to roughly 7000 ft. Above this elevation, it is spotty and nonexistent at 7400 feet.
• We observed three large crowns from neighboring terrain. All of which likely occurred on the 13th. 
• A hard wind board formed in isolated, leeward terrain features at upper elevation. Many stomps and cornice falls yielded no results.
• We had our hearts set on a crown profile and decided to not dig in areas where a crust was present.
