Took a little walk up the Marion trail today in an attempt to transport a large quantity of the low elevation snow up to a higher elevation on the bases of our skis. Turned around at about 5600', and it looked like the rain/snow line was still far above us. Saw lots of tree bombs and roller balls, but no wet slides observed, and no propagation (or really any movement at all except me sinking deeper into the swamp) when jumping on test slopes. The wind was definitely picking up above us when we turned around about noon, but at 5600' the precip still was of the clear variety, so hard to tell how much snow would be available for transport on the ridgetop. I did observe a small loose wet slide release down a road cut onto the road on the drive home.
