2nd field day for motorized Level 1. Opportunistic obs.

• Overcast below ~4900 ft; bluebird and calm, with sub-freezing temps above that elevation. 
• Rain crust to ~4700 ft. 1 cm thick that elevation, with facets developing below.
• 2-4 mm surface hoar many but not all mid-elevation shady slopes. Seemed more widespread near top of valley stratus.
• Quick, partial pit on northerly slope at 6300 ft. Well-consolidated 4F to 1F snow with few distinct layer in top ~1m of snowpack. Did not dig to ground.
• No rollerballs or other signs instability on steep, easterly slopesat head of basin.
