cloud deck around 6500 today with persistent but light snow throughout the day. maybe accumulated about 1 cm. skied mostly east and NE aspects, about 4-5" of dense new snow. skiing up to 30-35 degrees, no sluffing, cracking or any activity otherwise.
dug one pit, at 6500', ne aspect. total depth of 120 cm. did the ect twice. no propagation, but the result of note is the ECTN 15 at ~30 cm down, failing on the much talked about developing persistent weak layer. while it didn't propgate it sure slides cleanly and quickly with a light pull.
