Fluffhead on SE, NW and North aspects outside Essex today. The goal was to find better snow than experienced the day before. Most aspects stayed dry all day, but I'd think a crust might form overnight on true S aspects (at least at mid to lower elevations). We saw new wet loose in that ballpark today, running naturally in steep, rocky terrain.
We got what we set out to find. We skied steep slopes and experienced sluffing, but no cracking. Excellent day out there!
