Toured up into rescue creek up toward Nyack peak. Starting at about 1030 am we found strong winds out of the south forming thin wind slabs on north-facing terrain. The winds were gusting up to about 30mph and affecting terrain as low as 4800’ The slabs were thin and were likely of little consequence but could certainly sweep you off your feet or pose a threat in high consequence terrain. Solar activity evident on south and west facing slopes - roller balls, point releases etc. no major slides observed. Skiing was notably delicious. As was the cake.
