Went for a quick afternoon tour in the apgar range. High point of 5000 feet but a suprising 100 cm of snow on a SSW slope. Dug a pit at around 4900ft on a similar aspect to look for buried facets and found no development at ground level. Snowpack is progressively harder and right side up. ECTP 6 at 12cm down within the new old snow interface where I suspect a small wind slab had formed and then been covered. We saw no shooting cracks or surface evidence of wind loading at these low elevations. Better than expected Bush coverage all the way around.
