Crusty sheep

Toured up Sheep Creek and ascended small, hanging basin; locally known as the Sheep Creek Lakes. Plan was to link up Sheep/Essex Col and exit via Essex Creek, but a dislocated shoulder forced us back out Sheep Creek. 

• Weather:
  -Sky Weather: clear in AM, turning mostly cloudy in PM
  -Wind: light to moderate westerly winds at ridgetop
  -Temp: below zero @ 0700,  warming to mid teens PM
  -Precip: none 
• Our most recent rain crust present until ~6200ft, variable skiing conditions, lower down the crust was somewhat supportable; from 5000ft-6200ft the rain crust was stout (lots of sluffing, and where wind slabs were present, reactive and running when triggered)
• Dropped into Sheep Creek on a North aspect, skiing was good higher, albeit a bit slabby; but once within the "crust" zone skiing deteriorated and crust was breakable further down, some of the worst skiing conditions of the season, personally. 
• Noticed serveral pockets of wind slab had released recently on the southerly/easterly aspects of Snowshed Mtn (D1, D2). These were at mid-elevations where rain crust was present, otherwise no recent signs of avys. 
• Included a photo of Mt. Cameahwait deep slab from approx ten days ago. Debris did not run full path and terminated mid slope.
