We tapped our ruby-encrusted heel lifters together three times and were transported to a land of bright sunshine. But the Grinch got there first, and things were starting to slop up in the 15cm of new snow above the most recent crust on all solar aspects below 6600ft. We saw some sloughing and a little movement from our feet on steeper slopes. Winds were light and out of the southwest all day, increasing to moderate along the ridgelines where some scour was evident. By the end of the day, the crust was effect. We're thankful for a Crustmas like many others; at least the weather is consistent.
