Creamy turns

Today we went into the southern Whitefish Range to confirm low danger and test the early December facet/crust.

• Steep solar aspects have a breakable sun crust. Other aspects held cold, firm snow. Riding conditions were creamy and fun. 
• We observed no signs of instability. No shooting cracks, no collapses, and only observed roller balls from yesterday's solar input on steep south-facing terrain.
• We dug a pit on a north aspect at 6700 feet. We did a propagation saw test on the early December facet layer. The facet layer was challenging to cut through and produced no results. 

Overall, we felt confident in the snowpack and skied slopes steeper than 35 degrees.
