Took a long scenic stroll on the Sun Road from Avalanche up to the Loop. Walked about 3 miles up the Loop Trail towards Granite Park Chalet before turning around. Shallow snow, combined with heavy blowdown on the trail made for a slow going tour.
Wet Loose Avalanche activity on the south-southwest slopes of the Garden Wall. Presumably triggered naturally late afternoon. Observation picture taken and 4:15pm. Several similar avalanches observed on north-northeast slopes of Longfellow, as well as the north-northwestern slopes of Cannon (other photos lacking clarity).
