Rode by snowmobile from the canyon creek trailhead, to the head of kimmerly basin. Fresh overnight snow totals from the parking area to around 5500' were anywhere from 15-20 inches. When we reached Kimmerly basin, overnight snow totals were around 5-7 inches. Speaking with others in the trailhead, it seems to be consistant snow accumulation all the way through the south canyon cooridor. Having less and less snow the higher you got. Some reported the isolated storm had up to two feet in areas. Observed quite a few areas of sluffed snow on top of cut slopes between that 3,500-5,500' elevation. Dug one pit. Not super reactive but did propagate with hard force on the ground hog day crust, approximately 80 cm from the surface. Great day of riding in the lower elevaion on low angle terrain.
