Quick day tour over to Kona off the resort. Surprisingly calm throughout the day. Roughly 10-12" of light, unconsolidated snow on top of a supportable crust. Minimal sluffing, all manageable. Snowed throughout the day filling in the skin tracks. Overall, picked up roughly 3" of new snow throughout the day. Temps remained below freezing. Returning through the canyon winds were again calm. On the final chair out the wind increased dramatically as one approached the summit house. Overall, good skiing in sick zones.
