Went for a walk up skyland road to see if there was anything to ski. Around 5,000ft found boot penetration to be about half a body, and on skis sank about a foot on a northeast facing aspect. Around 6,000ft found snow that was supportable and a light dusting of new snow that remained dry all day. Overall we didn't see much warming throughout the day but did find quite a few verifiable pockets that did not seem to be related to aspect or elevation. Temperatures dropped and it started snowing on our way out although not sure it will lead to any accumulation.
