Snowmobile triggered avalanche at 6000 feet elevation on a Southwest facing slope. Unstable new storm slab slid on top of a older storm slab. Low angle incline of less than 30 degrees. This is not a common slide area. Avalanche danger on exposed slopes is extreme. Witnessed muptiple slides on low incline slopes with some triggering by the noise made by snowmobiles. I cannot stress enough how easily these slides are triggered on low angled hills. The slides were small and slow but still had debris depths of up to 6 feet that could easily bury a rider. On steeper inclines we witnessed the size and intensity of slides increase dramatically.
