We headed for Skook mindful of all the wild things that have been happening with the snowpack. Dropping into the benchy, thickly vegetated terrain just above Fiberglass Hill didn't yield much reactivity. Once on Skook Ridge, we followed the low angle SW flank of the W face. Pit results were marred by huckleberry bushes, but we got failures on facets below a crust that propogated (CT26Q2 ECTP13). As soon as we nosed into slightly steeper terrain onto the W face, we witnessed a large, rolling collapse that covered a 50 yard wide open area. While skinning back up the ridge, we witnessed numerous more collapses, primarily on covex rollovers.
