Afternoon ski tour from Fielding trailhead. Did laps on lower S and SW slopes on shoulder of Elk Mtn, since we encountered wind slab higher, mostly above 5500' w crust up to 2" in places. Variable pockets except where sheltered. 15 degrees at noon when we left car and afternoon felt downright warm w no discernible wind until 4 pm when it picked up. Pleasant day to be out.
