1-2 inches of new snow at the car became 10 inches at our high point of 6600ft. We experienced light to moderate snowfall throughiout the day, with snowfall intensifying as we began our exit at 2:00pm. Winds were moderate, with strong gusts, thoughout the day blowing from the southwest. We witnessed plenty of snow being transported by these winds, even in the sheltered trees we ascended through. The sun made brief appearances today, but was not out long enough to moisten south facing aspects. We opted to ski a Southeast facing slope, on the leeward side of a stand of thick trees. We found dry, unconsolidated snow with minor wind effect on this aspect, and enjoyed great riding. No red flags today, save minor cracking around our skis as we skinned through areas impacted by the wind.
