Quick Observation
Toured in Southern GNP this morning, turned around @ 7000'
In the 4000-5000' elevation band, southerly exposures had developed a thin melt/freeze crust from yesterday's patchy sunshine
Above 5000', 20-40 mph winds from the SW were actively transporting the recent, light density snow to leeward aspects along ridgeline
On leeward aspects along ridgeline, we remotely triggered multiple D1 soft slabs ranging from 6"-12" in depth
Realizing the better skiing conditions were below in the sheltered, we ripped hide and skied down
