Skied into marion lake and gained ridge between lake and dickey drainage. Snowfall the whole drive up. A few inches of fresh somewhat sticky snow on road to trailhead. Snowfall continued till early afternoon. Steady and heavy at times. Mid morning noticeable sustained wind increase with lots of blowing snow. Early afternoon winds became calmer and less sustained. Dug a pit 6400' on 33° slope E facing. Snow depth 135cm ECT 20 50cm down with clean shear. Wasn't able to see startzone or crown but later in day noticed several runouts at mid to low E facing slope of peak at head of lake.
