Lovely day in the Middle Fork!
-Calm W winds, temps hovering a bit below freezing (above 5k), and BLUE SKIES!
-Found 10-20cm of F+ decomposing new snow atop 4F, right-side-up settling snow... so many settlement cones around trees and other obstacles!
-Observed no signs of instability: no collapses, no cracking, no avalanches (except a handful of small day or two old Loose/Wet on solar aspects).
-On the North aspect we skied, we noticed a wind effected layer below the most recent settling storm snow. It was isolated to just below a 7k' ridgetop and unreactive to skiing.
Great skiing on a beauty of a day in the Middle Fork!
