Toured up to Skook Ridge to evalaute wind slab formation and persistent slab progresssion. No evidence of widespread wind slab formation during the tour but new cornice growth was sensitive to the weight of a skier. Recent cornice growth easily broke when approaching the edge with no surface cracking noted to steeper terrain below from falling pieces. Poor snowpack structure persist with a crust/ facet combo. Weak snowpack interfaces initiated by moderate force in CTs, but all ECTs produced non-propagating results. December facets below Thanksgiving crust were present but showing signs of rounding on both NW and SE aspects (1-1.5 mm).
Traveled the standard route from the Notch to the top of Skook Ridge.
