Traveled from 4800'-7200' on mainly N-NW terrain. Wind was swirling in lower elevation basin with stiffer wind slabs developing. Some audible collapses were heard on lower angle slopes with no visible collapses. Wind at north facing saddle around 7k was absolutely ripping. Gusts into the 60's easily.
Descended steep north facing terrain from 7200' to 5600'. Upper ridgelines were loaded and fat. Skiing was generally spectacular but skier triggered storm slab around 6k' on hard underlying crust. Crown was approx 10-12", and slab entrained impressive amount of storm snow and ran to valley floor around 5400' with highly visible powder cloud. Several other slabs were intentionally triggered on the remainder of the descent.
Multiple other large to very slab avalanches were observed in upper elevation aspects. Seemed to be mainly easterly terrain. See pictures!
Lower elevation solar aspects were becoming warm and stickey....
