Teton Pass Ski Area recieved 20" of new snow starting 2/19/22 into 2/20/22 with little to no wind. When the storm broke, natural avalanches were witnessed on multiple slopes above and nearby to the ski area. Start zones were near 38-40 degrees, and avalanches appeared loose dry. This past week brought wind to the area, and slabbing was present throughtout the upper elevations. Wednesday, a natural wind slab released from the peak (elev 8,488') above the ski area, and ran 800' vertical (attached photo). Friday, the ski area shot their avalauncher in windy conditions with no results, and less than desirable shot placement. Throughout Friday, we saw skier triggered wind slabs release above road cuts in-bounds (attached photo), and ski patrol released a number of ski cuts on steeper in-bounds areas. There was an obvious reactivity to the slabs that had formed. Saturday morning, mitigation was performed with larger hand charges, and significant results were seen. The larger slides were hard slab R3D3, and released on the old snow/new snow interface. 18-24" crown, running 1,100' vertical, 500' wide. Debris ran in-bounds at the ski area 500'
